For the corsages...meaning for everyone in the wedding (except bridesmaids, bride, and groom) we picked out calla lilies. It will be a single white calla lily for the males and the females will have a single white calla lily with an accent of blue. Just in case you don't know what a calla lily looks like, here is a website with a picture. Imagine the flower is white instead of purple. http://www.naturalviewsphotography.c
For my bouquet, we are going to do all red velvet roses...which we have not bought yet due to them being out of season...they should be coming in any day now! :) We will have a strand of ivy trickling down from the roses. It is going to look so beautiful. The bridesmaid bouquets will have a few white lilies in the center with a few red velvet roses around the edges. Their bouquets will also have ivy trickling down from the roses as well.
As you can tell, we now have a subtle hint of red, white, and blue going on. Red roses, white calla lilies, and blue dresses/tux vests. Totally didn't intend for it to happen, but a winter wedding requires red and white flowers...so yeah. Kind of fitting...though! Apparently, my pride for my fiancees line of work is coming through the wedding plans!!! :) Tee hee.
